Invasive Pest & Disease Tree Recovery

Throughout the last 20 years, an average of one new invasive beetle has been introduced to North America each year. New diseases that affect trees are also spreading across the continent. These damaging pests and diseases are causing mass devastation for native trees in communities throughout the U.S.

Emerald ash borer is a prime example, making its way from state to state and wiping out entire populations of ash trees. It has most recently been discovered throughout Colorado, and area residents are left with few options regarding their ash trees.

For street trees, municipalities often make the decision to cut them down. And the impact of that can be devastating. It is critical that we help them replant, as these trees provide a wide variety of benefits for residents such as cleaner air, cleaner water, and cooler temperatures. But more importantly, trees often define neighborhoods. They are a sign of vitality and vibrancy.

You can help provide a symbol of life and sense of place for the people affected by invasive pests and other natural disasters. Your support for the Community Tree Recovery program has the power to help entire communities feel whole again.
