Nebraska City, Neb., March 24, 1998--The Everfresh Juice Co.? and The National Arbor Day Foundation are teaming up for a greener America. The Chicago-based Everfresh?, part of the National Beverage Company, is donating a portion of each sale of Everfresh? juice drinks to the Arbor Day Foundtion, Nebraska City, Neb.
In addition to their gift, Everfresh? is also including an application for Arbor Day Foundation membership on every label of their 16-ounce and 32-ounce fruit drinks. Everfresh?, which has been producing fruit juices and juice drinks for more than 35 years, distributes their products throughout the central and eastern United States.
"We're excited and grateful for this involvement by the Everfresh Juice Co.?," said John Rosenow, president of The National Arbor Day Foundation. "Everfresh? also has a strong commitment to our national forests, a commitment they're working with the Arbor Day Foundation to help meet.
"One of the services we provide our members is 10 free trees with their annual $10 membership contribution," Rosenow added. "Those who take advantage of the membership form on the back of Everfresh? labels can choose to receive 10 trees themselves, or to have their trees donated to the Everfresh Reforestation Program. The Reforestation Program's goal is to plant 100,000 trees on land destroyed by forest fires near Yellowstone National Park. This is a cooperative arrangement that will have a real impact on our nation's forests."
The Everfresh Juice Co.? is also pleased to be working with The National Arbor Day Foundation. The company has included this message on its newly designed Everfresh? juice drink labels: "Every bottle of Everfresh? you purchase helps 'refresh' the environment because we donate a portion of each sale to The National Arbor Day Foundation, the world's largest tree planting organization. Trees decrease the level of carbon dioxide in the air and reduce the effects of global warming."
The National Arbor Day Foundation is a nonprofit education organization that helps people plant and care for trees.
