Nebraska City, Neb. (Jan. 10, 2008) – To help communities with important and practical information about safety and tree care in the wake of a storm, the Arbor Day Foundation has developed free online resources for the media. The Storm Recovery Kit may be reviewed and downloaded for reproduction from the media section of www.arborday.org. The kit includes new information about safety, saving trees, identifying whether a tree can be saved, tips on cutting and pruning, and how to avoid scam artists posing as arborists in the wake of a storm.
The Storm Recovery Kit is an easy-to-understand guideline that explains how to care for trees following a severe storm. It also includes downloadable graphics to support your coverage of the storm.
