Arbor Day Farm Hosts Annual Tree Celebration in Nebraska City
The weekend-long event commemorates National Arbor Day holiday
LINCOLN, Nebraska (April 22, 2025) – The spirit of National Arbor Day is in full bloom in Nebraska City as Arbor Day Farm kicks off a 3-day celebration of the tree planters’ holiday.
As part of the celebration, Arbor Day Farm is also hosting its first Bloom Fest where visitors will have the opportunity to explore the largest public lilac collection in Nebraska during their peak season. Guided tours will last 45-minutes and teach people about the history of lilacs and the importance of nature in our communities. The food and family-friendly fun of Arbor Day Farm’s Apple House Market, Tree Adventure, and Porter’s Barbecue will also be available.

Friday, April 26
- Free Admission to Arbor Lodge, 9am-5pm
- Live music on the Terrace at Lied Lodge with Lisa Larsen from High Heel, 6pm-9pm
Saturday, April 27
- Free orchard tours, 10am-2pm. Guests should meet at the Arbor Day Farm Depot
- Bloom Fest, free guided tours of Lilac Trail. Attendees meet near the playground at Arbor Lodge State Historical Park at 1pm, 2pm & 3pm (same times on Sunday). Guests can save their spot here.
Sunday, April 28
- Free yoga on Hazelnut Lawn with Christina Sage. Complimentary mats available.
- Free orchard tour, 3pm. Guests should meet at the Arbor Day Farm Depot
- Bloom Fest, free guided tours of Lilac Trail. Attendees meet near the playground at Arbor Lodge State Historical Park at 1pm, 2pm & 3pm (same times on Sunday). Guests can save their spot here.
