The Shade Store Partners with the Arbor Day Foundation To Plant Trees in U.S. National Forests

Nebraska City, Neb. (Jan. 18, 2011) – The Shade Store, a leading manufacturer of custom window treatments, announced today a new partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation to plant trees in our nation's forests. To launch its 10,000 Shades of Green program, The Shade Store is planting 10,000 trees with the Arbor Day Foundation in honor of new customers.

After each purchase, new customers of The Shade Store will receive a Give-A-Tree greeting card from the Arbor Day Foundation thanking them and letting them know a tree has been planted in their honor. Every Give-A-Tree Card plants a tree in honor of the recipient.

"10,000 Shades of Green kicked off with the New Year and will be a continuous effort," said Greg Spatz, chief operating officer of The Shade Store. "We are concentrating on doing everything we can to provide excellent customer service while being environmentally forward-thinking."

By partnering with the Arbor Day Foundation, The Shade Store hopes to inspire awareness towards the importance of replanting our forests. In addition, The Shade Store is committed to doing its part to reduce waste and increase its recycling and environmentally conscious efforts.
