Riverside Park South Exclusive Preview

Join the Arbor Day Foundation for an exclusive first look at one of New York City's newest urban parks during Climate Week NYC.

On Thursday, September 24th, the Arbor Day Foundation will welcome corporate leaders and partners to Riverside Park South for a guided preview of this remarkable new green space before it opens to the public.

Nearly all of the trees throughout the park were planted through the support of the Arbor Day Foundation and our corporate partners. This event will celebrate the partnerships that made this project possible while exploring what's next for urban forestry in New York City.

Participants will enjoy:

  • Remarks from Arbor Day Foundation Chief Executive Dan Lambe

  • Guided park tour and tree walk with NYC Parks staff

  • Recognition of project supporters

  • Coffee, refreshments, and light bites

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Riverside Park South represents the power of partnership in action. Through collaboration among nonprofit, corporate, and public sector leaders, hundreds of trees have been planted throughout the park, creating long-term environmental and community benefits for New York City. The project demonstrates how urban forestry investments can enhance climate resilience, improve quality of life, and strengthen communities.
