ABOUT THE PROJECT
Riverside Park South Phase 6 is a newly built park that transforms a heavily used industrial rail yard site into a public park with accessible greenspace, stormwater management features, and a balance of active and passive recreational opportunities for New Yorkers of all ages.
The trees planted during this event will help stabilize soil and reduce erosion, enhance the landscape, increase shade, and frame views of the park and waterfront. They will also contribute to the long-term vision of a greener, healthier, and more resilient community.
Confirmed attendees should plan to wear comfortable clothing and closed-toed shoes.
