Arbor Day Foundation Announces Partnership with Ayumma to Plant Trees in America's Forests
Protective Life Insurance Company Teams Up with
the Arbor Day Foundation to Plant Trees in Nation's Forests
Nebraska City, Neb. (Sept. 8, 2010) – Protective Life Insurance Company, one of the nation's leading life insurance and annuity providers, has joined forces with the Arbor Day Foundation to plant trees in our nation's forests that have been damaged by wildfire, insects and disease.
With the help of the Arbor Day Foundation, Protective will make a significant impact to the health of our nation's forests with a donation to the Arbor Day Foundation that will support the planting of 10,000 trees in areas that are in the most desperate need of reforestation. These trees will help clean the air, clean water sources by preventing soil erosion into streams and lakes, and provide awe-inspiring beauty for generations to come.
"By planting trees in our nation's forests, Protective is making a meaningful contribution to the health of our planet," said Kevin Sander, director of corporate partnerships with the Arbor Day Foundation. "We are thrilled to be teaming up with a company that recognizes the positive impact planting trees has on our environment."
Between now and July 31, 2011, Protective will make a donation to the Arbor Day Foundation on behalf of life insurance and annuity owners who enroll for electronic delivery of prospectuses and other regulatory documents.
"Protective is committed to serving customers with high value and innovative products, service and support," said Eric Miller, vice president and national marketing director at Protective. "We're delighted to be working with the Arbor Day Foundation to support the health of our nation's forests, while reducing the environmental impact associated with the traditional delivery of paper documents."
With more than 1 million members nationwide, the Arbor Day Foundation is the nation's largest nonprofit organization dedicated to planting trees. Since 1990, the Arbor Day Foundation has worked with the U.S. Forest Service to plant trees in America's national forests that have suffered damage caused by wildfires, insects and disease.
