Nonprofit’s largest corporate community tree distribution program returns for a second year
LINCOLN, Nebraska (April 1, 2026) – The Arbor Day Foundation and Subaru of America, Inc. partner to launch the second year of their groundbreaking community tree distribution program and give away 65,000 trees. Nearly 600 Subaru retailers are engaged in the program, ensuring new trees are planted all across the country.

In cities and neighborhoods, trees are proven to help improve air quality, reduce extreme heat, mitigate flooding, and boost mental and physical health.
By the end of this year’s program, Subaru and its retailers will have helped give away a total of 165,000 trees alongside the Arbor Day Foundation. The partnership represents the largest corporate community tree distribution in the tree planting nonprofit’s history. The work is also part of the Subaru Loves the Earth ® initiative that takes place during Earth Month in April.
The Arbor Day Foundation will select the tree species available at different distribution events in order to coincide with regional planting needs. Customers can visit arborday.org/subaru-directory to find a local participating Subaru retailer and reserve a tree.
