Arbor Day Foundation to Mark National Arbor Day With Third-Annual ‘Arbor Day LNK’ Celebration
LINCOLN, Nebraska (April 17, 2025) – The Arbor Day Foundation will host Lincoln’s largest celebration of trees on Sunday, April 27 in Antelope Park. The third-annual ‘Arbor Day LNK’ commemorates the National Arbor Day holiday and is free to the public.
The community event will run 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. and will feature food trucks, tree identification tours, family-friendly exercise classes, and a DJ.
The Arbor Day Foundation will also give away 400 trees on a first-come, first-serve basis. Trees vary in species and size and will be available for pickup at the event. An arborist will be available to provide tree planting demonstrations.
“National Arbor Day is not just about trees. It’s about bringing people together to appreciate the beauty and benefits of nature. It’s about all of us nurturing a deeper connection with the environment,” said Dan Lambe, chief executive of the Arbor Day Foundation. “We look forward to this celebration every year because it’s a unique chance for our local community to grow together in one of the green spaces that makes our city special.”
National Arbor Day is observed across the country each year on the last Friday in April. Visit arborday.org/letsgrow to learn more about the history of the holiday and the best ways to celebrate.
