City of Foley's 44th Annual Arbor Day Celebration

The 44th annual Foley Arbor Day Celebration will begin at 1pm at the Coastal Alabama Farmers and Fishermen's Market. The City will give away 675 Trees in 3 gallon containers to citizens on Saturday, February 22nd. Varieties of trees being given away include Bald Cypress, Nellie R. Stevens Holly, Willow Oak, Live Oak, Summer Red Maple, Green Giant Arborvitae, Carolina Sapphire and Cryptomeria Yoshino. During the ceremony the city will present 3 Memorial Trees to Former Mayor, John E. Koniar, Mr. A. Perry Wilbourne and Mr. F. A. Skip Davis. The Alabama Forestry Commission, Baldwin County Master Gardeners, Riviera Utilities, and certified arborists will be available to answer questions. Members of the Boy Scout Troop 77 will help distribute trees. The Foley High School Air Force Junior ROTC will do the presentation of colors and pledge of allegiance. The winning posters from the Arbor Day Poster Contest will be on display.

City of Hamilton - Arbor Day at Johnson Tew Park and Arboretum

The City of Hamilton will be hosting its first Arbor Day event. Johnson Tew Park and Arboretum will be closed to the public until 2 PM on April 25th to allow City staff to perform tree-related work in celebration of Arbor Day and the health of the city's trees.

City of Hastings Arbor Day Celebration 2025

The City of Hastings is planning to have their Arbor Day Event on Friday Apil 18th from 1pm to 2:30pm. We are improving the newly redeveloped lake Isabel Park with 12 beautiful shade trees. The trees are planted in partnership with Hoffman McNamara Nursery and Dakota Electric Association.

If you are able, please bring your own shovels to help plant a tree or two. The weather is unpredictable around this time of year so dress appropriately!

City of Holladay Tribute to Trees and Tree-Giveaway

The Tree Committee of the City of Holladay, a 16-year Tree City USA, is proudly partnering with Cottonwood Elementary School to celebrate Arbor Day '25 on Friday, April 25th, from 12:45-1:15 P.M. ISA Certified arborists from Certified Arborist Solutions, Tree Utah, and Green Pointe Tree Care will be leading the celebratory plantings of two Cherry trees and a Rocky Mountain Maple tree, all donated by SuperTrees Nursery. Councilman Matt Durham will speak on behalf of Mayor Dahle, students will read original poems and display artwork, and tree-naming winners will be announced prior to digging in at Cottonwood Elementary, located at 5205 Holladay Boulevard in Holladay. If you are a visitor, please do not arrive on the playground before 12:40 P.M. A Tree Give-away of 275 trees to Holladay residents will be held on Saturday, May 17, from 9:00 A.M. to noon.
