Arbor Day Tree Spree

On Saturday, April 26th, the Baltimore Tree Trust will be hosting our Arbor Day Tree Spree celebration in order to replenish Patterson High School’s tree canopy and celebrate our environmentally conscious community in Baltimore. Happening throughout the morning and early afternoon, volunteers from all over Baltimore will plant 44 canopy trees on campus, partake in a community resource tabling fair, engage with hands-on tree-focused education stations, and have fun while celebrating the trees that make our city a better place to live and breathe. Arbor Fest

Join us for Arbor Fest, an inaugural event sparked by Arbor Day and inspired by Easton's vibrant community. Tour the Micro-Forest and Food Forest, visit info and activity tables of local organizations, volunteer to plant trees along the bike path, snack on spring-themed foods, shop at local vendor booths, and more.

Saturday, April 26th from 1:00 - 5:00 pm at Lower Hackett Park (1913 Wood Avenue, Easton PA 18042). Rain date April 27th.

Arbor Week Seedling Giveaway

Crown Hill Arboretum is making 200 Native Tree Seedlings available to neighbors and visitors to Crown Hill Cemetery the Week of April 22,2025.

There will be a range of native trees available on a first come first served bases. We are asking that visitors take one tree per person/household so that we can share with a greater amount of families in our community!

Information on individual tree characteristics will be available on site along with details on how to properly plant and care for your new baby tree. Our Arboretum Director will also be available throughout the week to answer questions.

• White Oak, Quercus alba
• Shagbark Hickory, Carya ovata
• Bur Oak, Quercus marcrocarpa
• Shingle Oak, Quercus imbricaria
• Chestnut Oak, Quercus prinus
Bottomland Species- Moist or seasonally wet sites
• Northern Pecan, Carya illinoinensis
• Swamp White, Oak Quercus bicolor
• Shumard Oak, Quercus shumardii
• Pin Oak, Quercus palustris
• Overcup Oak, Quercus lyrata

Arbor/Earth Day Extravaganza 2025

Join us in celebrating 46 years as a Tree City USA by helping to plant 30 trees at Fruitdale Park in Wheat Ridge, Colorado! All trees and materials provided by USDA IRA grant funding. Please bring closed toed shoes, gloves, water bottle, and sun protection. There will be a BBQ after the planting as well!
