25th Annual City of South Lyon Department of Public Works “Arbor Day” Ceremony

We are excited to invite you to the Department of Public Works "Arbor Day" Ceremony, with the planting of a Red Maple Tree. City of South Lyon Mayor Steve Kennedy will read the proclamation to Arbor Day, then plant the Red Maple Tree. On hand will be South Lyon Area Girl Scouts, each with their shovels and watering cans, to help Mayor Kennedy.

The many benefits that trees bring to our community are that they play a vital role in stormwater uptake and filtration. Trees provide fresh air, shade, and even increase property values. Trees help reduce soil erosion and make our environment more sustainable and beautiful.

Brought to you by the Department of Public Works and supported by the Department of Public Works Storm Water Management Program.
