Bulletin #12: What City Foresters Do

Career Information

A good source of information about careers is the International Society of Arboriculture. Sources of current job openings can be found at Indeed and the Society of American Foresters’ Forestry Source.

State Newsletters

An excellent source of up-to-date information about what is happening in urban forestry is the newsletter published by most state forester’s offices. These go by such names as Georgia Tree Talks published by the Georgia Forestry Commission and Idaho Community Trees, a quarterly publication of the Idaho Department of Lands – Community Forestry Program. For information about getting on a mailing list, contact your state forester’s office.
