Arbor Day 2025

Join us for Issaquah’s annual Arbor Day volunteer event!

We will be celebrating Issaquah’s 32nd year as a “Tree City USA” community by planting trees at Confluence Park. Volunteers will help plant new trees to replace ones that were lost during the bomb cyclone event in November. We will also continue to plant native trees and remove invasive plants to help restore the buffer along Issaquah Creek for our salmon and other wildlife.

No planting experience is required. Training and tools will be provided. Registration available here.

We hope to see you there!

Arbor Day 2025

This event offers free fun for the whole family plus the chance to engage with environmental experts about native plants, healthy soils, and going green at home. Ask an arborist about the trees in your yard and how to enhance Cary's tree canopy. Don’t miss the chance to register to win a free compost bin, rain barrel, or native plant gardening kit while we celebrate Cary’s 42nd year as a Tree City USA community.

My Tree, Our Tree Giveaway (Registration required)

Thank you to hundreds of people who have helped us grow our urban forest by participating in the My Tree, Our Tree program! Please stay tuned this winter for our 2025 program offerings.

The 2025 Arbor Day celebration will be held in conjunction with the My Tree, Our Tree native tree giveaway program. This program allows registered Cary citizens to pick up one free native tree per household to plant in their yard and add to the community's tree canopy. Learn more and register.

Get Inspired With Ways to Celebrate Arbor Day

When Arbor Day was founded back in 1872, the idea was simple—set aside a special day for tree planting. And today, that idea is more important than ever. Find out more about how you can celebrate trees this Arbor Day, whether it’s planting a tree or planning a large-scale, community-wide event.
