Let's Meet on Main!

The public is invited to participate in the Arbor Day Celebration hosted by the City Tree Board with the participation of the Gordon Elementary School Fourth Grade classes. A brief history of Arbor Day will be presented before students take turns receiving hands on training in tree planting. The history of the founding of the City of Gordon at the location of a Willow Tree will also be given. This is particularly exciting because this is a Main Street event, and a tree that will be seen by many for years to come.
