EARTH DAY Begins in the Pawtuxet River Valley

The April 26th EARTH DAY gathering will meet for a kick-off clean-up at the award-winning JAYCEE Corridor & Arboretum along the West Bay Bikepath (Rhode Island Greenway). with JCS Volunteers. The event will take place at the Riverpoint COMMUNITY Park 106 Hay Street in West Warwick
- Rain Date: 4/27/25 (partial period) - respecting Church services.

Join us for a fun-filled day of celebrating our planet at the Rogers Parks & Recreation Earth Day Celebration! Whether you’re a nature lover, eco-enthusiast, or simply want to make a positive impact, this event is for YOU!
Here’s what we have in store:
✨ Interactive Vendor Booths – Discover local organizations focused on sustainability, eco-friendly products, and green practices.
🎨 Eco-Friendly Arts & Crafts – Get creative with environmentally conscious crafts.
✏️ Pledge Wall – Write down your commitment to helping the planet and inspire others to do the same!
♻️ Recycling Opportunity – In collaboration with the Rogers Recycling Center, we’ll be offering a recycling station for specific items. Stay tuned for a list of acceptable items you can bring!
📖 Story Time – Bring the little ones for an engaging, eco-themed story time with the Rogers Public Library that will spark their love for nature.
🌳 Tree Planting – Help us grow a greener future by planting a tree together. Stay tuned for more details on the timing of this portion of the event.

Earth Day Community Fest

Join us for the Earth Day Community Fest at Dakota College of Bottineau on Friday, April 25th from 5-7 p.m.! This free family-friendly event invites community members to celebrate our planet through engaging activities hosted by local and regional organizations. Discover the importance of soil health, learn proper tree care techniques, explore pollinator gardens, and much more! Each attendee will receive a complimentary tree from Towner Nursery to plant at home. Food will be available for purchase. Come connect with nature and your community as we honor Earth Day together on the beautiful DCB campus!

Earth Day/Arbor Day

Each year on Earth Day and Arbor Day, people across the country demonstrate support for environmental protection and reflect on the important role that trees play in our world. Trees help clean our air, reduce the effects of climate change, provide habitat for wildlife, and help save energy. This year, Santa Clara’s Earth Day/Arbor Day Celebration will be celebrated in-person at the Central Park Pavilion (909 Kiely Blvd) on Thursday, April 10, 2025 from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM. This free community-wide special event celebrates the environment and will feature a performance, tree climbing demonstration, exhibitor booths promoting environmental education, and more!

EarthFest

Nature will take the spotlight at Coral Springs’ annual EarthFest Celebration on Saturday, April 26, 2025 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Sawgrass Nature Center & Wildlife Hospital (3000 Sportsplex Dr.)

Aiming to increase eco-consciousness and community engagement in the city, this year’s EarthFest event will feature nature exhibits, plant giveaway for residents, animal encounters, and children’s activities. In addition, residents can learn more about city sustainability programs including composting, hazardous waste disposal, single-use plastic reduction, and more. The free event will give Coral Springs residents the chance to celebrate Earth Day and Arbor Day while surrounded by nature’s beauty and while interacting with eco-friendly displays and activities.

Guests can also learn more about the newly expanded Coral Springs Community Garden, a joint effort between the City of Coral Springs, the Rotary Club of Coral Springs, and resident volunteers, that features individual garden beds available to rent for growing herbs, vegetables, perennial plants, and more. The Community Garden also features a memorial garden, reflexology path, butterfly garden, food forest and more.
