Arboretums

  • The Arnold Arboretum is a research and educational institution. It manages a collection of hardy trees, shrubs, and vines located on 265 acres in Boston, Massachusetts and associated herbarium and library collections.

  • Located in Brooklyn, NY, the spectacular Brooklyn Botanic Garden offers a variety of public programs all year long.

  • 1700-acre arboretum located 25 miles west of Chicago. Open 365 day a year.

  • Established in 1927 by an Act of Congress. The Arboretum is administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Agricultural Research Service.

  • Guy Sternberg is a landscape architect, arborist, tree consultant, writer, lecturer, and photographer from Illinois. He has propagated and grown hundreds of species of trees, both native and non-native, and maintains his own research arboretum, Starhill Forest, with his wife, Edie.
