An urban forest management plan is an action plan; it gives public works agencies detailed information, recommendations, and resources needed to effectively and proactively manage public trees.

Urban Tree Risk Management: A Community Guide to Implementation

The manual is designed to assist communities with the design, adoption and implementation of tree risk management programs, and train field staff to detect, assess, and correct hazardous defects in urban trees.
