Conference Details
Registration Fee
The registration fee for the conference is $299 when received by October 26, 2009 ($350 after October 26, 2009).
This fee includes all materials, refreshment breaks, and meals beginning with breakfast on Monday, November 9, and ending
with lunch on Tuesday, November 10. It does not include lodging.
Exhibit Fees
A limited number of table-top exhibit spaces are available for purchase by conference registrants. The cost for a 6-foot
table-top space is $499 ($449 for nonprofit organizations). Each exhibit space fee includes one conference attendee registration.
Exhibits will be displayed November 9 and 10.
Lodging
A block of rooms has been reserved at the Doubletree Hotel Portland for this conference. This block will be held until October 19, 2009.
Reservations received after that date are subject to prevailing room rates. You are encouraged to make your reservations early since space
is limited. Make your
reservation online or you may call toll free 800-996-0510. Be sure to mention the Partners in Community Forestry National Conference
in order to receive the special conference rate ($119/ single or double occupancy per night plus tax). Lodging reservations are not
included in the conference fee.
Student Rates
A limited number of student rate registrations are available for full-time undergraduate and graduate students. A valid student I.D. is required.

Transportation
Portland's MAX light rail operates daily from 5:00 am until Midnight. The light rail provides a safe, inexpensive, environmentally-friendly
transportation option to and from the Portland airport and throughout Portland. Upon airport arrival, proceed to baggage claim where you will
find the MAX light rail station. Purchase a ticket option most suitable for your needs. Board the Westbound Red Line train and exit at the Lloyd
Center/Northeast 11th Avenue MAX Station. The Doubletree Hotel Portland is just over 500 feet northwest of the station. Cost is approximately $2.
Once in Portland take advantage of the "Fareless Square" which allows free use of the MAX light rail within a 330-block zone
(including the Doubletree Hotel Portland and much of the downtown Portland area). Additional information can be obtained at trimet.org.
CEU/CFE Approval
The International Society of Arboriculture has approved the Partners in Community Forestry National Conference general and breakout sessions for 12
Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for Management, Climber Specialist, Certified Arborist, Utility Specialist, Municipal Specialist, and Aerial Lift.
An additional three CEUs are available for the pre-conference marketing trees workshop on November 8 and three CEUs are available for the post-conference
urban forestry bus tours on November 11.
Continuing Forestry Education units through the Society of American Foresters is still pending.
Cancellations
Cancellations made at least one week prior to the conference date are eligible for a full refund of the registration fee. If you need
to cancel less than one week before the program, your registration will be refunded less a $50 enrollment charge, or you may send a substitute
from your organization. You are guaranteed a full refund of the registration fee if this conference is canceled for any reason.
