Bruce Fraedrich, Ph.D., is Vice President of Research at Bartlett Tree Research Laboratories in Charlotte, North Carolina. Dr. Fraedrich has been with Bartlett since 1975. His positions have involved research and extension responsibilities in shade tree disease management and tree management plans. Dr. Fraedrich is an ISA Certified Arborist and an active member of several related organizations. He earned his B.A. degree at Newberry College, his M.F. degree in forestry at Duke University, and his Ph.D. in plant pathology at Clemson University.
Victor D. Merullo is an attorney with the law firm Merullo, Reister, & Swinford in Columbus, Ohio. Mr. Mr. Merullo has been in the public and private practice of law for more than 20 years. He worked for the Ohio Attorney General, assigned primarily to the Ohio Department of Agriculture. In the private practice of law, he has handled cases in various aspects of the law including numerous matters on tree-related problems. Mr. Merullo is considered a leading expert in the law of trees and wrote “Arboriculture and the Law,” the first publication devoted exclusively to the law of trees.
