Tree Campus USA Recognition Begins
The University of Nebraska — Lincoln was recognized as one of the first Tree Campus USA universities in the country. Arbor Day Foundation and Toyota representatives, as well as other community members, were on site to present the recognition plaque and flag to Director of Landscape Services, Eileen Bergt, and Student Body President, Emily Zimmer.
University of California, San Diego students stand next to one of their newly planted eucalyptus trees. In honor of being recognized as a Tree Campus USA university, students helped to plant 100 trees on campus.
The University of Texas at Austin was recognized this October as the first Tree Campus USA university in Texas. Congratulations and “Go Longhorns!”
