The Pavilion at Arbor Day Farm
 |
| Our theatre offers a rare glimpse into "the hidden stars" of many movies . . . trees! |
 |
| The Pavilion at Arbor Day Farm
lets guests explore the magic of trees
and enjoy a one-of-a-kind
educational experience. |
Interactive
and entertaining exhibits in the Pavilion engage visitors in learning
to identify trees and in understanding the importance of trees.
Visitors begin the experience with a "visit" from J. Sterling
Morton himself. They walk through an indoor simulated forest, complete
with the sounds of songbirds, storms, and streams. “Trees
in the Community” and other interactive displays portray the
importance of trees to our towns and cities, and to the countryside,
and help visitors become personally involved in tree planting and
environmental stewardship.
Through hands-on interactive kiosks,
our visitors identify trees, learn about care, planting, and conservation
practices, and play games that entertain and educate.
Our visitors have especially enjoyed
our theatre, which plays “Trees in the Movies,” portraying
how trees have played starring or supportive roles in the cinema.
