Laurence Wiseman of Potomac, MD
Laurence Wiseman of Potomac, Md., received the Legacy Award for his lifetime work on conservation issues as president of the American Forest Foundation. Through Wiseman's leadership, the American Forest Foundation set the bar for excellence in forest conservation, wildlife and watershed protection and environmental education. The Foundation's Project Learning Tree is a highly respected and widely used environmental education program throughout the country.
