Through a partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation, Allstate Insurance is encouraging customers in four states to sign up for paperless statements. For each customer to successfully enroll in the program, Allstate makes a donation to the Foundation to plant trees.

Bayer Advanced, the consumer lawn and garden business unit of Bayer CropScience LP, is planting trees in our nation's forests through sales of its products. This is the fourth year of the Bayer Advanced / Arbor Day Foundation sponsorship. By the end of this year's program, Bayer Advanced will have helped us plant 375,000 trees in our nation's forests.
Project Plant It is a community effort to educate children, plant trees, and improve the environment. Created by Dominion, it is a partnership effort with the Arbor Day Foundation. Each year Dominion sends tens of thousands of Arbor Day Foundation Gift Trees to elementary school children across the country.
Since the spring of 2004, Doubletree has worked with the Arbor Day Foundation on a variety of environmental education and tree planting projects. Some highlights:
dressbarn and maurices, national specialty women's apparel retailers, are committed to embracing the causes valued most by their customers. In furthering this commitment, they have partnered with the Arbor Day Foundation to help replant more than 50,000 trees in our nation's forests through their Bring Your Own Bag campaign. dressbarn and maurices will plant one tree for every purchase of a reusable bag. To honor their 50th anniversary, Enterprise Rent-A-Car formed a partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation to plant 50 million trees over 50 years. This is a gift that not only commemorates their history, but celebrates the future.
As part of their Pink Doing Green campaign, Mary Kay, Inc. has partnered with the Arbor Day Foundation to plant 200,000 trees in the Bitterroot National Forest. This positive action taken today will have everlasting impact on our environment, changing the quality of life for future generations.
Through its mobilize campaign, T-Mobile is encouraging customers to green their accounts through paperless offerings and phone recycle drives. As a result of customer participation, T-Mobile is making a donation to the Arbor Day Foundation to reforest critical habitats across the country. T-Mobile customers have helped plant over 900,000 trees and counting.
USA TODAY has been an industry leader in environmental stewardship. Together with their parent company, Gannett, USA TODAY is dedicated to being an environmentally responsible corporate citizen. To further this commitment, USA TODAY has partnered with the Arbor Day Foundation to plant trees in our nation's forests for each of their subscribers who successfully enrolls in paperless billing.
WORX has teamed up with the Arbor Day Foundation to plant trees in our forests as a way to celebrate the launch of its environmentally friendly Lithium line of outdoor power tools. For every WORX customer who donates a dollar to plant one tree in our nation's forests, WORX doubles the impact by matching every donation, tree for tree! The WORX mission for zero emissions dovetails nicely with the Arbor Day Foundation cause. Corded or cordless, all WORX lawn and garden equipment run on electricity for zero emissions. Citi Cards, along with the Arbor Day Foundation, has put in motion its customer-focused "Plant-a-Tree" initiative - a program that encourages its credit card holders to switch to paperless statements, planting a tree for each conversion made. This Minneapolis-based company donates $1 from every order in this check line to the Foundation's tree-planting and educational programs. |
