Arbor Day Farm Receives 2012 Nebraska Travel Industry Award

11/27/12
Nebraska City, Neb. (November 27, 2012) – Arbor Day Farm was the recipient of a 2012 award from the Nebraska Tourism Commission for the "It's more than..." campaign.

The outstanding tourism campaign award recognized Arbor Day Farm's creative initiative to showcase the 260-acre property, including family activities, leisure and meeting space at Lied Lodge & Conference Center. State officials noted that the advertising campaign resulted in five consecutive months of increased occupancy at the 144-room Lied Lodge.

"It's more than..." highlighted Arbor Day Farm as a destination for all ages, with apple orchards where memories are hand-picked and conference space where new ideas can flourish, among other elements. Arbor Day Farm is owned and operated by the Arbor Day Foundation.

The campaign, first introduced in 2009, included printed brochures, hospitality magazine advertisements, online and social media promotion, in-house promotion and media relations, with a focus on delivering tailored messages under a uniform theme.

The 2012 Nebraska Travel Industry Award winners were recognized by Lt. Governor Rick Sheehy during an October 25 ceremony in Gering, Nebraska.
