Frito Lay is giving away another 50,000 trees to organizations all over America.
Last fall, Frito gave 25,000 seedlings to nonprofit organizations. This year, they're giving away 50,000 more.
We are no longer taking applications for free trees. All of the trees have been awarded! Thanks to Frito Lay for helping nonprofit organizations all across America plant trees in their communities. Check back later for more details.
Who can participate?
All nonprofit organizations are being considered. This could include schools, clubs, communities, etc. To ensure the health of our donated trees, please only apply if your organization has the capabilities to plant in large quantities. Frito-Lay and The Arbor Day Foundation will not be assisting with the planting of trees.

You may apply anytime. Please apply only once.
How many trees can my organization receive?
Choose 50, 100, 150, 200, 250, or 300 donated trees.
How are organizations selected for free trees?
Organizations are chosen from all applicants who have registered for the program. Preference is given on a first-come, first-served basis.
Note: Zones 1, 2 and 11 are not eligible at this time. Due to state Department of Agriculture restrictions, we are unable to ship trees to AK, AZ, CA, HI or any U.S. territories. We are currently researching options for these zones. We apologize for this inconvenience.
What types of trees will I receive?
If you are chosen to receive donated seedling trees, you will be contacted to choose your trees. We will encourage you to receive the appropriate trees for your growing zone. Available trees: Blue Spruce, Pin Oak, Red Maple, Red Oak, Redbud, River Birch, Scarlet Oak, Silver Maple, Sugar Maple, Thornless Honeylocust, Tuliptree, White Dogwood and White Pine. Due to the large volume of applications, we cannot accommodate specific requests.
How will my organization be notified?
Organizations chosen to receive donated trees will be notified by e-mail.
If chosen, when will I receive my trees?
You can select Fall 2007 shipping or Spring 2008 shipping and we'll send the trees to you at the best time for planting in your area. Another option is Arbor Day 2008, and we can ship the trees to arrive in time for the national holiday on April 25, 2008.
