Nature Explore Classroom at
Gifford Farm Education Center, ESU #3

Gifford Farm in Bellevue, NE is entering its 4th year as a Certified Nature Explore Classroom.

Gifford Farm Education Center continues to grow and flourish.  They have added a variety of smaller objects this year to enhance each of the existing areas.  A new gateway feature, done by local Eagle Scouts, was added to their entry this year.

Two Open Houses were held in 2010.  These events, advertised in the Omaha World Herald, were very well attended and resulted in families coming together to enjoy the outdoor nature classroom together.

Staff continued their professional development throughout the year by attending sessions of Growing Up Wild, Project Learning Tree and Flying Wild at the Fontenelle Forest Nature Center and Developmental Assets at the University of Nebraska, Omaha.
