The Nature Explore Classroom at Grow With Me Home Childcare

On May 19, 2012, a family workday was held to put in the new playscape. All of the Grow With Me Home Childcare families volunteered their time to make the new Nature Explore Classroom come to life.

Literature and a nature curriculum was made available for the parents to view during lunch on the volunteer day.

Parents of owner, Tammy Beeman, helped design and personalize the space while one of the parents served as the carpenter. The children painted signs to define each of the spaces.

Plantings add beauty to the yard and the fence line is softened with flowers potted in recycled paint cans. The majority of the materials used are all natural therefore they require no maintenance.

Stepping logs are used for the climbing area. A large table and chairs and a tree trunk car, were carved out of logs. The sand area is shaded by a beautiful white pergola while a shade structure was also designed for the digging area. A dry river bed was placed between stepping logs for a stream effect.

Grow With Me works with local resource and referral agency to host tours for newly certified providers.
