The Nature Explore Classroom at Laurie’s Inn

Laurie's Inn in Casper, Wyoming is celebrating their 4th year as a certified Nature Explore Classroom.
The Nature Explore Classroom at Laurie's Inn keeps growing! The Fairy Glen has really grown over the past year, with the addition of another fairy family and many magical plantings. A ReJuvenation party celebrated the renovation of the stage and addition of a xylophone that parents crafted with their children. Parents will also be creating a water movement activity area. The willow bench was planted and woven with a variety of willow rods, while curly junco grass was planted to add interest near the tables.
With the support of the Terri Lynne Lokoff Foundation, a greenhouse was added this year and the families just love it! A salad bowl garden was planted and is a spot where the children pick lettuce for their own salads of iceberg, mescal, spinach or arugula and may also add grape tomatoes, dill and green onions.
Laura Stadtfeld attended the Audubon Society-Healthy Children and Tennessee Family Child Care Association Conference for continuing development for nature education.
