The Nature Explore Classroom at CA Montessori Children's Center

CA Montessori Children's Center is celebrating their 3rd year as a certified Nature Explore Classroom.

In the past year, the staff at CA Montessori have participated in events sponsored by the Suffolk AEYC and have attended an Educator Training Workshop: "Connecting Children With Nature."

One of the many events sponsored in the outdoor classroom this year was a child and parent "fishing trip". Teachers helped set up tents and a campground materialized in the classroom. Families enjoyed connecting with each other and with nature.

The children are enjoying new drums in the music area of the classroom. These large, colorful instruments help children enjoy experimenting with making music and creating expressive movement.
